Guess who just kinda figured out bones again
Yeah, I'm talking about rigging and yeah it's not perfect and maybe it's only on a totally square object...
BUT IT'S NOT IN PMDE OR PMXE....
I FIGURED THIS OUT IN META!!!
Ok, so and I were talking like we tend to do and trading off what we know about 3D modeling in general.
I brought up how it would be nice if Meta could rig like how I know Blender is able to do so.
Well, I remembered a little plugin called Keynote, as well as that Saboten has animated full videos within Meta before.
Example 1:
Example 2:
Example 3:
All three of those were confirmed as being animated and exported via Metasequoia,
and that's why they are so impressive.
So, I actually had a little fun with google today to try to see if I could figure out this whole bone thing
within Meta. (Cause I mean, if those 3 videos can come from Meta, how on earth have I not figured out
how to create a bone and make it work yet?)
Like I said, it's not perfect, it's only 2 bones, it's not even worth showing you guys because it's a stupid single
square, but it is a square that I can pose, rotate, move, and bend.
I might continue playing with this just to see if I can get it to actually work how I'm wanting it to.
I honestly don't know if the ability to rig within Meta would save me time on making a model or if it would only
be the same amount of time I spend in PMXE or close to.
*Edit*
Ok, so confirmed I can export an object with bones that do move, rotate, etc. within MMD.
NOw... how to move this knowledge to an actual model and not this rounded square...

Not Dead just Moved:
Alright, so I vanished for like 2 years cause IRL drama, and emotional issues that happened the night I posted this:
and I was pre-occupied with being a newly wed (two years ago) taking care of my son (new part of my life as of around this time last year) and as of recently getting settled within my new house.
I'm not going to be using this account much anymore, just keeping it up for nostalgia really buuuuuuuuut
Here's my new account: ~Aikomi-Junpei (https://www.deviantart.com/aikomi-junpei)
feel free to call me RJ on there too, as RJ is my actual legal name and Aikomi Junpei is a gamertag/pen name to me.
As for my downloads, I will not be taking down any of my models/parts
Message to the MMDC
Alright, so if you've followed me for a while you know I try my best to stay out of the whole Drama thing the best I can unless it directly effects me or is targeting someone for a stupid reason like:
"THEY ARE NEW AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO MMDC!!!" Sorry that one just bugs me because of how much of a repeat it seems to be when it comes up.
Anyway, I was going through the new releases within Steam as I tend to do and well... Came across something very interesting.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/692010/MeiMeiDance/
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but...
That looks like a TDA Edit, within Unreal, along with MMD Motion Data, and songs that are
Decided to Wing it!
So I've decided to try a little challenge on myself.
To see how "bad" a model will end up looking if I use no references what so ever outside my knowledge of how Metasequoia works, as well as my brain.
for this challenge I will not use a single background image or tutorial.
Muscle memory sure, but that's it.
I do have a new art style I've been playing with so I'm wondering if I can transfer it to 3D Models (from memory of what the style looks like xD)
What's the first character I'm going to play with within this style?
Simple, my persona I made for Game Design :D
She shares names with my "pen name" I've chosen for game design purposes
Guys I have a confession to make:
I'm sorry.... I couldn't help myself!!!
I stole this deviation:
From this person: !japhelyoung (https://www.deviantart.com/japhelyoung)
....
Anyone believe me? No?
Alright so I guess I'll just have to prove it to you.

THIS PERSON STOLE THIS FROM ME
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There! That should be all the proof you need!
I stole it! End of story!
*Looks up this person who claims I stole it*
*Looks at how long they've been on DA*
*Le gasp!?*
They've been on DA FOR A WHOLE 2 YEARS!!!
AND THE DEVIATION I STOLE WAS POSTED OVER 5 YEARS AGO!!!
AND THEY ARE CLAIMING NOW, 5 YEARS AFTER IT WAS POSTED, THAT
You do can rig in meta.
I know how to make it auto rig to the bones but I have no idea how to manually rig it in meta though.
Usually, I will need to rerig the parts again in PMXe. >_>
